A first tier OEM supplier of automotive parts to assembly plants for cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles wishes to appoint a Procurement Manager for its Ladkrabang plant.

Reporting to Country Purchasing Manager and Global Program Manager, the Procurement Manager will supervise:

• Coordinate purchase of components in support of new OEM programs for customers in Thailand and for resource outsource projects in Thailand from other countries
• Implement, follow-up, measurement, refinement and improvement of all tasks within a given project
• Liaise with the purchasing group and other departments to assure successful launch on time
• Work with project managers to ensure all design, quality, production, financial and milestone timing needs are met
• Plan, lead and conduct timely team meetings and project status reviews for purchasing components
• Support the sales and project teams in preparing business proposals, product launches or meetings with clients
• Source qualified suppliers, develop, evaluate, and determine measures to ensure required performance of suppliers

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age around 30 years
• Degree in Business Administration or a Technology field
• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing operations of a multinational manufacturing company – project management experience is a plus
• Thorough understanding of product standards, quality management standard, and productivity improvement tools (APQP)
• Comfortable to work in a matrix structure or cross-functional management
• Good organizing, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Willing to undertake overseas travel
• Good command of both written and spoken English
