Our client is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of food safety, health and environmental protection products for the hospitality, food service, healthcare and industrial clients with worldwide sales of $4.5 billion .
Reporting to the General Manager and Regional ( SE Asia ) Financial Controller, the Financial Controller will:
- Supervise the accounting, finance, IT, distribution, personnel, and office administration functions
- Monitor and control the cost of inventory, import/ export, personnel, and marketing to minimize working capital requirements
- Assist in development and analysis of short- and long-term planning, projection, annual (capital and operational) budget
- Assist in corporate and other tax planning and operations in coordination with external tax consultants
- Ensure effective internal control system, assist in year-end audit, and determine measures to remedy audit recommendations
- Determine and monitor cost of products and equipment, and report to the senior management
- Review and finalize financial statements to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with corporate and statutory reporting requirements
- Provide key indicators on sales and divisional performance, report, and recommend strategies to maximize the profitability or operational effectiveness
- Manage risk exposure, insurance coverage, general and publicity liability
- Provide guidance to the senior management to ensure full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements
- Provide M&A support in the development of new business
- Train, delegate, supervise, and evaluate responsible staff to ensure required performance
Qualifications and skills required:
- Thai national, aged 35 – 45 years
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance; an MBA and or CPA would be advantage
- 8 - 12 years experience in operations and management in accounting, finance, taxation, and audit of a multi-national company
- Prior responsibilities as a Financial Controller/ Manager or prove readiness for this step
- Thorough knowledge of accounting/ statutory requirements, financial laws and regulations
- Good computer skills
- Strong organizing, analytical, communications, and team management skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
