A subsidiary of a leading Australian-owned engineering project contractor serving industrial clients in Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical and Mineral Processing, wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Process Engineer. Thailand is the base for the company's regional management and engineering center.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will:

• Lead and train (as required) all members of the team, check and approve their works
• Oversee the preparation of engineering specifications and requisitions, technical bid evaluation, vendor document reviews and approvals, as required by projects
• Guide the electrical design team in reviewing clients' design input for completeness and compliance with local authority requirements
• Participate in design review meetings
• Review mechanical engineering equipment lists and data sheets to determine accuracy of motor lists and power requirements
• Ensure the optimal technical interface with other disciplines, particularly instruments, process and mechanical engineering
• Impose cost-consciousness upon the team, review designs, control and report progress and man-hours consumption in accordance with company's and project procedures
• Provide electrical engineering support for installation and commissioning phases of the project (if applicable) and organize site inspection visits when required by projects
• Pay close attention to the notification of design changes which affect the cost, schedule or impact upon the work of other disciplines

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, aged over 30 years
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Power) or other related field
• 8 years experience in the design office in one or more of the following industry sectors - refinery and gas plant, petrochemical, offshore, power station, HV sub-station for oil and gas, clean fuels, bio-fuels
• Experience with a consulting engineering firm is an advantage Familiarity with power system analysis software - SKM, ETAP, EDSA, DigSILENT is an advantage
• Engineering license is a must; class II license is an advantage
• Strong analytical ability, with good organizing, communications, and problem-solving skills
• Energetic and willing to contribute to innovation
• Good command in both written and spoken English
