A subsidiary of a leading Australian-owned engineering project contractor serving industrial clients in Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical and Mineral Processing, wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Process Engineer. Thailand is the base for the company's regional management and engineering center.

The Senior Electrical Designer will:

• Lead and train (as required) all members of the electrical design team, check and approve their works
• Oversee the preparation of electrical engineering drawings, lists and schedule, as required by projects
• Coach the electrical design team on designs for cable routing, plant lighting, cable termination, MCC layout etc.
• Oversee the preparation of bulk material take-off and issue purchase requisition
• Participate in design review meetings
• Provide electrical engineering support for the installation and commissioning phases of the project (if applicable) and organize site inspection visits when required by projects
• Pay close attention to the notification of design changes which affect the cost, schedule or impact upon the work of other disciplines

 Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, aged over 27 years
• Vocational certificate or degree in an Engineering field
• 8 years experience in the design office in one or more of the following industry sectors - refinery and gas plant, petrochemical, offshore, power station, HV sub-station for oil and gas, clean fuels, bio-fuels or other process industries
• Experience with a consulting engineering firm is an advantage
• Familiarity with Thai regulations is a must
• Ability to communicate in English at work
