A subsidiary of a leading Australian-owned engineering project contractor serving industrial clients in Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical and Mineral Processing, wishes to appoint an experienced Chief Process Engineer. Thailand is the base for the company's regional management and engineering centre.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Chief Process Engineer will:

• Lead all members of the process engineer team; check, and approve their work
• Recruit, delegate, coach, and ensure required competencies of all team members
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of technical and business proposals and bidding
• Determine each project budget; monitor contract variations, project progress as well as conduct budget control
• Ensure strict conformance of practices to technical standard, business requirements, and HSE standard
• Interface with project managers and team members to clarify project specifications and ensure proportionate of all resources
• Conduct technical reviews and peer audits and follow-up on non-conformance correction and prevention

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age over 27 years
• Degree in an Chemical Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in project operations in one or more of the following industry sectors - refinery and gas plant, petrochemical, offshore, power station, HV sub-station for oil and gas, clean fuels, bio-fuels or other process industries
• Knowledge in implementing and auditing HSE standards
• Experience with a consulting engineering firm is an advantage
• Capability in supervising large or multiple teams
• Ability to communicate in English
