A British company providing engineering design and project management services for the oil and gas, chemical and power generation industries wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer. The corporation employs over 1,250 people working in 14 offices worldwide.

Based in the Bangkok Office, the Lead Electrical Engineer will:

• Design of electrical systems for oil and gas or petrochemical projects
• Prepare electrical design basis
• Identify and select specifications and equipment sizing for medium and low-voltage systems (generator, UPS, switchgear, transformers, motors, sure protection, solar power system, lighting, earthing, cables)
• Identify hazardous areas and wiring regulations and conduct installation techniques
• Prepare and enforce field testing procedures
• Prepare man-hour estimates, summaries and progress reports

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age 30 years up
• Degree in Electrical Engineering with engineering license class II
• Minimum 10 years electrical engineering experience within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries; minimum 5 years experience in a design role
• Overseas work experience would be an advantage; particularly in a Middle East country
• Experience in supervising a small project team of engineers and designers
• Knowledge of international and local codes as well as quality and SHE standards
• Knowledge of pipeline and related facility design and construction, including impressed current cathodic protection systems would be an advantage
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications CYME, ETAP power systems analysis tools
• Result-oriented with organizing, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English
