A British company providing engineering design and project management services for the oil and gas, chemical and power generation industries wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Piping Engineer. The corporation employs over 1,250 people working in 14 offices worldwide.
Based in the Bangkok Office, the Lead Piping Engineer will:
- Prepare detailed design and layout of pipe work and supports for on-shore oil and gas services
- Prepare piping design basis
- Select and calculate piping materials and equipment sizing
- Prepare piping specifications, data sheets, equipment lists, valve schedules, and MTOs
- Identify specifications and select the fire-fighting system
- Conduct testing procedures
- Prepare man-hour estimates, summaries, and progress reports
Qualifications and skills required:
- Thai national, age 30 years up
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with engineering license class II
- Minimum 10 years experience in piping within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries; minimum 5 years of design project
- Overseas work experience would be an advantage, particularly in a Middle East country
- Experience in supervising a small project team of engineers and designers
- Knowledge of international codes, SHE and quality management standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and CEASAR II stress analysis
- Result-oriented with organizing, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English
