A subsidiary of an American specialist in the design and manufacture of metal castings, fittings and joints used in HT power transmission and distribution wishes to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Manager for its Thailand manufacturing operations. The company provides complete packages of power line hardware for voltages up to and including 500kV.

Based in the Latkrabang Industrial Estate, Bangkok, and reporting to the Managing Director, the Manufacturing Manager will :

• Stipulate production schedules based on customer orders, forecast, and plant capacity as well as manage changes effectively
• Monitor the production process and outputs to ensure conformance with customer specifications and company's profitability
• Conduct the productivity improvement program which involves the production workforce, suppliers, and related departments to improve both productivity and profitability (CAPEX management)
• Ensure conformance of practices with quality standards, management standards, and corporate policies
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager on delivery schedules to customers and improvement
• Establish and maintain a competent workforce and monitor staff performance to facilitate the attainment of business objectives

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age between 30 - 45 years
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Over 10 years experience in a metal related industry with minimum 5 years at a supervisory level
• Background in product standards and related quality management standards
• Strong knowledge in LEAN process, productivity improvement, 5S, and MRP system
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English
