An affiliate of an American agro trading businesses with global operations is seeking an IT Director for Asia. The company's shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

Base in the Asia Regional Office, IT Director for Asia will :

• Day-to-day oversight and management of IT operations infrastructure and resources.
• Implementation and enforcement of IT policies and procedures; security and compliance
• Upfront involvement in all major regional projects to ensure IT requirements are identified, considered, and budgeted accordingly.
• Regional IT Budget rationalization and reporting (CAPEX and SG&A); approve purchases of hardware and software
• Review, approve, and remediate audit management responses
• Regional IT Resource Management (Internal and Outsourced)
• Develop and drive Regional System Strategy and standards
• Provide monthly IT status report and attend monthly Corporate IT Status and Planning calls

Qualifications and skills required:

• Degree in IT with at least 8 years experience in IT, including 3 in IS Management
• LAN and WAN technologies (Switches, Routers, VPN, etc.)
• Networking Fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Operating Systems, Exchange, SQL
• Strong project management experience
• Must have self-directed initiative to stay technically up-to-date
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Teamwork and teambuilding skills
• Ability to perform international travel for up to 2-3 week at a time
