A European-owned manufacturer of packaging material used for consumer products wishes to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer for its manufacturing operations in Bangkok.

The Senior Buyer will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will supervise a Raw Material Planner and a Buyer. The person appointed will:

• Coordinate with the Sales, Production and Stock Control team to prepare an aligned purchasing plan
• Conduct purchasing operations for production and non-production materials
• Establish work relationships and enforce agreed procedures with other departments
• Follow-up with suppliers to ensure quality goods/ services and timely delivery
• Inspect in-coming purchased items against invoices and conduct claims/ returns as necessary
• Coordinate with the Finance Department in relation to payment and communicate with the Warehouse Section on in-coming schedules
• Issue purchasing summary reports

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age around 30 - 40 years
• University graduate
• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing operations and planning for a manufacturing business
• Keen on operating innovative communications technology
• Result-oriented with strong organizing and negotiation skills; a team-worker and customer oriented
• Effective English communication ability
