A manufacturer of automotive parts and assembler of passenger and commercial vehicles wishes to appoint an experienced Assistant Regional Product Manager.

The Assistant Regional Product Manager will s upport the Regional Product Manager (an expatriate) in the launch of a new Business Unit. He/she will:

• Cooperate with the Overseas Project, Marketing, and Engineering Department to formulate plan for product development and/ or marketing
• Ensure the product competitiveness in the region throughout the development period and total life cycle
• From the customer's viewpoint, provide information on the competitiveness of the product, its positioning and competitive product marketing positioning to the Chief Product Specialist
• Benchmark viewpoints from target customers throughout the region to corporate product concept and ensure balancing of inputs
• Maintain the consistency of the product concept throughout model life in the region
• Recommend a change in products or product positioning in order to improve the product competitiveness
• Monitor product situation and prepare reports on product competitiveness; specifically of the local market, for the senior management team

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age around 35 – 40 years
• Degree in Technology or Marketing discipline
• Experience in the automotive industry for 5–10 years
• Knowledge of product standards, safety and quality management standards
• Strong analytical ability with good calculation, communication, presentation skills
• Good command of spoken and written English
