An international company producing chemicals used in food and non-food manufacturing with a large market share in each market segment in which it competes is seeking a very competent Procurement Manager. 

Based in Bangkok and reporting to the Managing Director, the Procurement Manager will:

• Establish standard procurement operation procedures
  
• Plan, implement, and manage the bidding process to support projects
  
• Negotiate with quality suppliers/ contractors and monitor the performance of suppliers/ contractors
  
• Visit and develop potential suppliers/ contractors to become quality and registered suppliers/ contractors
  
• Guarantee availability of materials by establishing strategic partnerships wherever suitable
  
• Coordinate with the Global Procurement Unit and engineering teams to identify opportunities for regional sourcing wherever suitable
  
• Propose saving measures for projects and track realized savings (on a real / net project cost basis)
  
• Train procurement staff, monitor team performance, prepare performance reports

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age over 35 years
  
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Science, Economics, or Finance; an MBA would be advantage
  
• Experience in supply chain operations for chemicals industry
  
• Strong leadership with analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  
• Good command of both spoken and written English
